Amazing Attendance

As you will be aware, we monitor the attendance of every pupil incredibly closely each half term. At this point in the academic year, we are able to view the whole school attendance figures for the year as a whole. Last year, the school achieved a whole school attendance figure of 95.63% which was in line with national expectations. This year, we wanted to raise this so attendance in school reflected pupil’s keen attitudes and desire to be in school and learning. Parents have engaged with the Exceptional Circumstances Policy introduced in September 2013 and far fewer requests for time away from school have been submitted. As a result, the whole school attendance for this current academic year is a fantastic 97.20%, which is an excellent increase on last year. Please be reminded that your child should be in school unless they are ill or have a genuine reason to be off. We will make contact with parents whose children are regularly absent, late, being picked up early and hope that you will continue to work with the school to secure the excellent attendance figures seen this year! Well done everyone!

The following pupils all clearly have super immune systems, as they have all achieved 100% for the whole academic year! A huge congratulations and well done to; Gabriella Roberts, Charlie Askham, Ava Roberts, Misha Foster, Willow Hanks, Jack McDowall, Lois Taylor, George Fisher, Harvey Greenhalf, Jasmine Hendry, and Jessica Heron.
