End of Academic Year Message from Mr Eden

Dear Parents/Carers,

As the start of the school holiday gets underway, I wanted to write to you to say a huge thank you for your constant support. We are so very lucky to be supported by such a wonderful complement of parents/carers and together we have been able to achieve what has, at times, felt like the impossible. Having had to navigate more lockdowns, remote learning and isolations than ever before-I am so very proud of Ancaster and our achievements this year.

In the face of adversity, our children have continued to thrive and the fact that we have made it to this point with relatively low levels of Covid-19 cases or bubble closures is testament to both our close parent partnerships as well as the protective measures we quickly adopted. Once again, I thank you immensely for adhering to these and helping keep everyone safe.

This week, we said goodbye to our wonderful Y6 children who are ready to take the spirit of Ancaster that is firmly embedded within them to flourish and fly as they embark on the next step of their educational journey. Please join me in wishing the children (and parents) all the very best as this exciting phase begins! The same is true of the members of staff and other children/families that have left from other year groups to relocate to different parts of the country-we wish you all the very best and will always be here if you ever need us.

What the summer break affords is the opportunity to relax, reset and reconnect with family and friends that you might not have been able to spend as much time with over the past year-I hope lots of memories are made. We are certainly looking forward to hearing all about the summertime adventures that take place on our return in September.

With school now closed for the summer break, should you need to contact me for any reason you are welcome to email me on sam.eden@ancaster.lincs.sch.uk and I will respond to you as soon as I am able.

Have a wonderful summer everyone!

Best Wishes,

Mr Eden
