Dear Parents and Carers,

Having not had the opportunity to undertake many of the elements of wider school life for some time due to the restrictions previously in place as a result of Covid-19, we are now becoming more and more able to implement activities which allow us to operate as we usually would. Not having access to wider enrichment activities such as clubs, has been difficult as it is in these sessions children have the opportunity to develop and grow outside of the formal school curriculum.

We are delighted to be able to share with you that our first offer of clubs will commence after half term. The document attached outlines all of the clubs that will be running next term. We have a mixture of sessions which have ‘no charge’ as well as sessions which carry additional charges for them to run as they are being provided by a third party. Please discuss with your child(ren) the different clubs on offer and then follow the steps below so that we receive your request and we will get back to you in the timescales outlined below.

Next Steps:
• If your child would like to participate in any of the clubs, please email clubs@ancaster.lincs.sch.uk
• In the email-state clearly the child’s name, class/teacher, pick up arrangements for the end of the club, emergency contact number and the club(s)
• All requests to be emailed by Tuesday 19th October.
• If the club is over-subscribed names will be drawn at random to ensure fairness and equality.
• You will be notified by email whether your child has a place at their chosen club by Thursday 21st October.
• Please ensure that any payment for clubs are received in advance of the club starting (where payment is needed) and by Monday 1st November 2021 at the latest.

We are thrilled to be able to offer such a wide variety of clubs and thank all of our staff and wider companies who are giving their time freely for this important aspect of school life to begin operating once again.
