Attendance
Attendance at school is the biggest factor in future success.
Here at Ancaster, we are keen to work with parents to ensure all children are in school every day.
If your child is not able to attend school due to illness, or for any other reason, please notify the school office by 08:45 on each day of their absence.
Why is good attendance important?
Poor attendance (and punctuality) not only impacts on a child’s progress and achievement but also on their self-esteem and well-being.
The habit of being a regular, punctual attender at school will stand your child in good stead for the future, particularly in the world of work.
Meet Fluffy, Ancaster's Attendance Alpaca.
Our weekly Attendance Award, Fluffy, is awarded to the class with the best attendance and they get to keep him for a week. Fluffy loves visiting all the classes in school and is very popular!
