Governors
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope this letter finds you all well.
I’ve been Chair of Governors since October 2015, although Ancaster Church of England Primary School has been part of my life since September 2006 when our first child started school. Our youngest child started secondary school in September 2016, so it is great to still be involved with such a wonderful school as a governor. Both of our children loved their time here and always received the support they needed to achieve their potential.
Part of our role as governors is to make sure that the school’s finances are being well managed and that the money is well spent. As you will be aware, there is continuing pressure on school budgets so it is fantastic to now be able to provide single age classes across the whole school every morning. This really is a huge benefit and is having a big impact on every child in our school being given the opportunity to ‘Be the best you can be!’.
I am delighted to be chairing the Governors and I’m extremely proud to have been a part of the team helping the school to implement these changes.
Please feel free to contact me via the school office if you have any questions about the Governing Body and the roles/responsibilities we undertake. I look forward to seeing you in and around our lovely village school soon!
Yours sincerely,
Sally McDowall
