Omegle

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please find attached an information sheet regarding a free video messaging service that is becoming popular amongst young people called Omegle. The information sheet is quite detailed and should give you everything you need to know about the platform as well as the next steps to follow in putting restrictions in place for your child to stop them using this as the site has direct links to another service which streams adult sexually explicit content and is deemed unsafe for children to use.

Whilst we are not aware of any children at Ancaster using this service, we do know that it is becoming popular with school aged children across the country and wanted to highlight this to you so you can put measures in place if your child shows an interest in the service.
